Chritmas Nails!

Christmas Nail Art

Who's enjoying the winter holidays? *raises hand* ME!

It's been great to lounge around in pyjamas for the majority of the day and watch back to back episodes of Gossip Girl... :)

With all the free time on my hands I've been pampering myself and painting my nails regularly. Here's a cute nail art design that's perfect for Christmas time!

Colours:

China Glaze-   Tip Your Hat (81931)
China Glaze-   Snow (80411)
Ciaté-    Ditch The Heels (PP060)
Barry M-    Green Berry (426)
Green glitter polish

  • Paint all nails except your fourth with two coats of Tip Your Hat
  • Paint the fourth with two coats of Snow
  • With a dotting tool, draw a ring using the two shades of green and layer with the green glitter.
  • When those layers have dried, use Green Berry and Ditch The Heels with a dotting tool to draw a small bow on the wreath
  • Don't forget to finish it with a clear top coat!

Merry  Christmas! I hope you all have a great time and enjoy all the food and family time.

Goodbye!

DIY - Button Earrings

DIY - Button earrings

Here's a little blog post about how I made these cute button earrings! These are such a great idea as Christmas presents for all your friends, and are special too because you made them!

Step 1:

These are the items you will need to create the button earrings:
• a pair of buttons
• some strong glue that dries clear (I'm using wood glue)
• some earring bases
• earring backings

Step two:
Pour a little drop of your glue onto some scrap paper. Then dip the under-side of the buttons in glue.

Step 3:
Dip the earring bases into glue and place them on top of the buttons.

Step 4:
Repeat to make them for all your friends and then leave them to dry overnight!

Step 5:
Wrap them in a cute box and give them to all your friends for Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

Goodbye!

Top 3 Autumn Essetials

Top 3 autumn essentials

Tartan scarf - I've mentioned previously about my love for tartan, and wearing a tartan scarf only increases my love for it! It's the mix of colours, the soft texture and comforting feeling it brings, that makes me adore it so much! The deep reds just remind me of autumn, leaves, and berries. It can jazz up a simple coat or a plain dress and make the outfit much more stylish.
:
ASOS  Tartan scarf - £16

Candles - candles can totally transform a room with the scent and also the small light it brings. It can be great to light up a small corner of the room, that wouldn't usually get noticed, and turn it into a simple and interesting attraction. For the colder months I prefer a 'cosy' scent; like cinnamon, apple and spice. It's the perfect way to unwind with a 'cosy' candle, tea and a good book.
Home Sweet Home Large Jar
Yankee Candle -  Large £19

Boots- whether it's some knee-high boots or sturdy timberlands, boots are an essential in an autumn wardrobe. Personally I love my floral Dr Martens to make a statement in autumn. The way they can make an outfit look edgy but still cute, pleases me. I find they are best worn with a simple skirt and some thick tights.

Dr. Martens Lottie Noir - £115

Oatmeal, Raisin and Honey cookies (Christmas)

Hello!

I'm trying to commit to this blogging thing, and succeeding so far!

I was feeling lazy today, after doing too much work, so I decided to make some cookies. However to make them slightly guilt free, I made oatmeal, raisin and honey ones. I was pleasantly surprised with how cinnamony and Christmassy they tasted, and would definitely remake them for a Christmas party or even gift for a friend. Fortunately they were quick to make and turned out to be delicious!

Here's the recipe I used to make them:
1. Preheat oven to 150°C (fan 130°C, gas mark 2) and line two trays with baking paper
2. Mix plain flour (150g), oats (90g), cinnamon(2tsp), sugar(200g), raisins(90g) and ground/crushed almonds(70g) together
3. Melt the butter(125g) in the microwave and then add honey(2tbsp), bicarbonate of soda(1/2 tsp) boiling water(2tsp) and honey(2tbsp)
4. Stir both the warm butter mixture and dry flour mixture together.
5. Create small flat topped balls of mixture on the baking trays to your desired size, however leave space for them to expand and spread.
6. Bake for around 15+ minutes then leave to cool on a wire rack.
7. EAT AND ENJOY

Goodbye

Hello!

Welcome to my blog!
Currently I'm unsure what I shall be writing about, but hopefully over time a theme will develop.

I am planning to use this space as a way to express my thoughts and ideas on... Life? I have read many other people's blogs for years now and felt inspired to become a professional procrastinator. So here's my blog!

A (little) bit about myself

I'm currently in senior school

My favourite subjects are: art, chemistry, geography and maths. (Go on, laugh!)

My favourite animals are: penguins, elephants, polar bears, guinea pigs, giraffes and dolphins. (And yes, I'm rather indecisive!)

Here's a lovely quote to brighten your day:

Goodbye,
